One by one Pakistan has been shedding its shenanigans, the army has finally stepped out of shadows & has proved right all those who were all along maintaining that State actors not the non State actors as suggested by President Zardari & the Architect of Kargil War General Musharraf & Pakistan is not convinced about the involvement of it’s citizenry with the support of ISI /Military, all circumstantial evidences & statements by lone captured extremist Kasab even FBI also establishing the complicity theory in it’s on- going investigations, notwithstanding.

Amidst, sabre rattling from both side of divide, media offering SWOT analysis & World Leaders suggesting moderation & some times making u-turn from their established positions made in past, there by making an ordinary citizen to vacillate in abject confusion, between patriotism moving with crescendo towards jingoism,” [kM~xgLrsu nqtZuaa ” & sermons suggesting restraints, for WAR never addressing any question but giving birth to scores of scars & problems.

Should we dispense with the thought of “Befitting Reply” the answer is “BIG NO”

The answer lies in crafting a Strategy which includes:

• Isolation of Pakistan in International Community by sending Political Emissaries to the States –Capital of World as suggested by BJP stalwart Shri Yashwant Sinha in talks with TV Anchor Karan Thappar in a programme “Devils’ Advocate” & effective use forums like FATF & Egmont Group & Interpol for cutting easy access of money supplies to the operatives in India, at the earliest, we have already lost considerable time.
• Stamping out corruption with “Iron Hands” from all walks of life especially from “Political Life” & “Public Life”, the incidents like happening at Auriya in UP(where BSP MLA Shri Shekhar Tiwari killing Ex.Engg Shri Manoj Gupta PWD) would create mules unwittingly, in society who would look askance while performing DUTY at a time when “India Expects Every One To Do His Duty”, anarchy in any form & shade will create chinks in Societal Armoury, because there will be flagrant availability of such local mules who would help the sleepers in achieving their nefarious objectives, casualness in vigilance as exposed by Electronic Media in Rly Securities will also cast negative effects on public & security alike.
• What we should do is to carry out any pinpointed attacks at the appropriate time, as element of surprise with cleverly crafted strategy shall yield better result, any non reflexive reaction not only build up International pressure but also increase collateral damage to our interest.
• The Economic scenario also does not support the tension turning into Military skirmishes, for tourism shall hit badly in 4^th Quarter current financial year, diversion of financial resources for National Defence increasing Non –Planned expenditure will have pull down effect on National Economy.
• Escalation shall putt further fetters on Fourth Estate & Civil Liberty shall be affected adversely. What Fourth Estate should concentrate on is to create environment for Greater Accountability & nip in the bud for thought of summary trials in fast track court or in camera trials etc of apprehended terrorists/extremists besides the tendency among the lawyers not to fight the cases of those involved, for it shall have weakening effects on our Judiciary.

Wilting Of Will

As was feared earlier, Pakistan has proved the prophecy of just being “wily”,right, for not only she allowed the banned outfits to remove the assets from their Banks before freezing their accounts under the directions of Pakistan’s Central Bank, similarly, the Pakistan’s establishments have also started giving back door exit to those arrested under the pressure of Security Council & World Opinion at large.

Isn’t it funny to think that Balance of Power between the two Asian Neighbours who happened to be cousins has brought them back from the Brink of War, once again?

Why this so called Balance works only against us always when we tend to assert ourselves even for the “Natural Right” to “Life” by our Citizenry. Will some one tell me why this Balance Of Power does not work on them? Why can’t we convince the World that decisive blow to the bastion of terror is our right as the official establishments of Pakistan all along has been carrying out farce after farce not only against India but also against Humanity at large? It has put across her Heart & Mind " Ham Nahi Sudrenge"

But the fight shall remain elusive unless India joins FATF (Financial Action Task Force) a pre-eminent International Body on money laundering issues besides the Egmont group (a group of International Financial Intelligence Units) which enables us to strike at the root providing sustenance to terror groups. Not long ago National Security Advisor of Govt of India had voiced fears that there was possibility of terror group investing in Stock Market. Similarly UNSC has expressed fears of presence of more than 400 A/c holders who are having direct or indirect connection with this terror group, in India itself which has severely been infested with their sleeper operatives & such accounts providing sustenance besides helping them achieve their heinous objectives with ease.

Constituting a federal agency for tackling terrorism with active liaison with State police & putting more curbs on live coverage by media is not the panacea but better liaisons among State & National Agencies coupled with better compliance of rules, regulation & provisions of laws with better monitoring & deviations sternly dealt with shall in my opinion enable us to deal with terror culture in a better way. Putting fetters to Fourth Estate is akin to throwing baby with the bath water for there would not be anyone to point out lapses, deviations & build opinion for correctives.

Frankly, India should not allow them to make our ground as battlefield come what it may.

Willy Or Willing?

…………………at last Pakistan has been cornered by International Community at the behest of India,latter being at receiving ends for the last 2 decades at the hands of her immediate neighbor who happened to be her cousin …..it is equally appalling that Pakistan has been trying to drum-up sympathy from International Community by terming herself “Victim Of terrorism", if it were so why their State Machinery is imparting Commando Training to their Nationals to terrorize the Civilians of the World in the their home.

House arrests and freezing of assets is not enough, they have committed crime against Indian Citizenry hence trial in Indian Courts is the natural corollary and we must not give up our demand for their custody.

Should India also Channelize the World Opinion to offer help Pakistan by way of sending UN force for cleaning Pakistan's Soil from terrorists, for they have admitted that they have neither the requisite will nor resources to do the needful themselves? or should we ourselves help them-out,without asking & for courtesy sake ?

These are the two options glaring the State Of Pakistan.

Patience Pays!

As expected Pakistan has blocked the resolution at UN SC about Gen. Hamid Gul in connection with his involvement with Taliban & Al-Quaeda but despites refusing to ban Jammat-Ud-Dawah parent body & frontal organisation of LeT, UNSC banned JUD on Indian demand, under Chapter7 Of UN Charter & it is now up to govt. of Pakistan to ban & confiscate it’s assests, even past attempts by US Britain & France for imposing ban on Jammat -Ud- Dawah was thwarted by Pakistan with Chinese help &it seems both the Nuclear powered Asian neighbors will push them away with each other from the resolution of stalemate.due to Pakistan's steadfast refusal of ceding custody of MOST WANTED OFFENDERS so as to try them in Indian Courts & dispense Justice expeditiously.
But the most intriguing & disquieting feature is to know why despite having custody of Rampur Camp attackers with UP ATS, the intelligence agencies could not get revelations well on time about their connections with the Pakistani Jehaddis giving India it’s 9/11 at Mumbai on 26.11.2008 ,be it reccee done by Faheem or acting “Financier” by Sabhauddin Ahmed link between ISI & preprators, thereby underscoring the need for complete overhaul of intelligence outfits, where coordination among various agencies seems to be the first Casualty. Constituting Federal Agencies along FBI of USA may have some mitigating effects in the present needs- scenario.

Once again I re-emphasise, “India Expects Every One to Do His Duty” laxity shown in the observance of rules, regulations & directives has been costing us dearly. Be it related with “Police Verification of tenants/employees”, Casting Votes,” Know Thy Neighborhood”, Aerial reconnaissance system of coastal areas & boarders by satellites besides deployment of smart sensors devices under command & control of Coast Guard & BSF etc. List is endless.

But above all, we should be ready to take on the might of Terrorism head-on & otherwise battle seasoned perpetrators & their mentors shall rightly think” Barking Dogs Seldom Bite”.

--------------At last Pakistan acted under International pressure especially by US & EU besides the irrefutable hard evidences provided by India. The arrest of some LeT commanders including Zaki-Ur Rehman Lakvi by Pakistan Army is a small step in a right direction.

The acid test of Pakistan’s Will is yet to come when those arrested are tried in Indian Courts a demand I think will be unacceptable to Pakistan due to It’s domestic compulsion, nevertheless pressing for their custody for trial in Indian court is the need of hour, for this International support especially US may be drummed up for perpetrators & their planners have committed crimes against Civilians of India even Geneva Conventions & IHL(International Humanitarian Law) supports this contention.
Trial at Pakistan shall not be enthusing because of the involvement of their State’s Institution, for many it may be another farce.

This refers to the Editorial by Editor-in-Chief of Hindustan Danik Ms Mrinal Pandey where in she sees a clear divide between Bharat & India over the reportage on India’s 9/11 by various Anchors focusing on Taj Hotel & not giving adequate coverage to CST station though it is as much oriental & grand as the Taj is, & terrorists also perceiving that by the senseless act of terror at Taj they attempted to mark their presence felt for their cause which otherwise could just become a whimper as was in the past, as Bharat was under attack always, not India as it happened this time.

But it must be borne in mind that unlike in past the terrorists chose to spree bullets in crowed places at CST, near Kama Hospital
She has rightly asked why Politicians as a class should go after that section of Society, who does not take active part in Casting Votes; a phenomenon not limited to our country but practiced the World Over by politicians.
But, it is a declaration of War on counts:

• Attack planned & executed by Pak Nationals
• Crossing The Borders Illegally
• Inflicting Maximum damages in Commando Like Operation For 60 hrs at a stretch
  
• Setting-up Command & Control in a Building which is a National Symbol helping them taking hostages of Foreign Nationals specially US & Israel which could force Western media for full coverage & inflict & challenge the Superpower’s Status of Bharti in waiting.

Therefore the attack this time is unique in many ways pricking Conscious & Pride of every Citizen.

Travesty Of Truth!

…………isn’t it strange that Architect of Kargil War Gen. Parvez Musharraf asked in a Public Investiture Ceremony “To stop blame game” & described Pakistan as victim of circumstances for the last three decades. Ever since Pakistan came into being it’s been committing a farce on a third of Asia’s Population, diverting & canalizing their energy for terrorizing not only it’s immediate neighborhood but also throughout the nook & corner of World at large, be it Chechnya, London, Afghanistan. It appears that it has been successful in diverting it’s people’s attention from basic needs of education, health & sanitation,& furthering the economic standard of their people.
Hatred against India has been the only reason of acts of terror attacks against Civilians (of India) is reprehensible by its nationals trained, financed & logistic support& armed to the teeth by their State Machinery & other Nations of World are also voicing their concern & opposition to such engagements. Even China is apprehensive about the trouble in its provinces adjacent to Pakistan. Apart from exhausting all possible pacific means( Including persuading Countries against funding the Militant Outfits at Pakistan) for exerting pressure on the State Of Pakistan, India should shed it’s reluctance to act decisively by hitting hard on such outfits, detecting & cleaning the operative cells have also become not only important, but also necessity, political expediency as displayed after the Batala House incident would further weaken political resolve.

Self Help

“God Helps Those Who Help Themselves” adage we have learnt since we have come out of schools. The statement by Secretary of State Ms Condoleezza Rice marks the U-turn after she has come to Pakistan, in spite of possession of incontrovertible evidences both by India & US, the latter gathering independent evidences & reported to have given a lead or two about possible attack from Sea route is not surprising for they did what they have done earlier on the eve of attack on Parliament at Delhi

Similarly, FBI’s investigation approaches at India is reported to be similar to when it came to Indian shores when Al-Faran abducted foreign nationals from Valley i.e. they have been keeping inferences drawn to themselves from the facts gathered independently or in possession of Indian agencies, re-emphasize for “Self Help”,tacitly.

The prospective World Power having stunned the World by either designing Large Hadron Collider Machine at CERN or resilience shown by Indian Economy in the face of recession hitting West or Chandryaan Project recently seems to be in a Self bind. Despite learning time & again that lip service alone would come forth, we still think that West led by US would put pressure on Pakistan on our behalf, as usual US bought the Pakistan’s alibi that it’s engagement at Eastern front would force it to withdraw from it’s Western front where it is engaged with very terrorists India is howling about.

As former US Secretary of State Madame Medline Albright has described Pakistan as the stronghold of terrorists which of late has become headache for the Whole World & cannot be reined by Civilian Govt of Pakistan.

We thus are left with no choice but to act firmly & decisively.

India's9/11 on 26.11.2008

The tragic incidence of mindless & senseless act of terrorists attack on Financial Capital of Our country on 26.11.2008 & the obvious Public reactions caused after the remarkable restraints shown by the Public at large after witnessing series of incidences be it at Ahmedabad ,Delhi, Jaipur, Banglore & Delhi underscores emphatically the premise of striking & wiping out terrorists camps deep inside Pakistan with out physically crossing The Border( Capability expressed by then General Padmanabhan after the attack on Parliament at Delhi) which they themselves are unable to control or dismantle despite becoming serious threat to the very existence for the State of Pakistan by their own expressed admission & without any doubt .

Sermonising Public at large & suggesting that the terror issue being taken up with Pakistan by political leaders is sapping the Public’s patience for every one knows that it has become a ritualistic rhetoric by the Political Leaders of both side of divide – one takes up the issue & the other refuting it under the guise of insufficient evidences. The sheer anguish & anger epitomizes by twin incidences-one when father of Maj. Sandeep Unnikrishnen simply disallowed the presence of Kerla’s CM Achutananandan & other Candle March by thousands of men, women & children not only in respect of killed & martyred but also to show light to the politicians so as to awaken their conscious to act decisively at least now after the India’s 9/11 i.e. move decisively as was done by Americans after the 9/11 attack on themselves.

The involvement of State of Pakistan is evident beyond doubt when it has mobilized it’s media for spreading disinformation campaign in the face of mounting pressure not only from Indian Quarters but also from World at large.

At this hour of extreme tragedy the famous words of Lord Nelson echoes in my mind albeit with slight change

Duty which somehow or some where not performed properly which made us the sitting ducks.

……….in the end I salute all those who came & freed us from the ugly clutches of terrorists even at the cost of their lives & grieve for all those among us who either are no more with us due to the visit by Nightmarish incident of India’s 9/11 & pray The Almighty to give enough strength to their near & dears & also peaceful rest for the departed Souls.
